What is a transformer foil winding machine?
Transformer foil winding machine is a specialized piece of equipment used in the manufacture of low-voltage foil winding for power transformers. Because it typically winds copper or aluminum foil, it is also known as a copper foil winding machine or aluminum foil winding machine. Unlike traditional transformer wire winding machine, foil winding machines change the traditional “wire winding” method, using a “face-to-face (cu/aluminum foil) winding” approach. This foil winding process effectively reduces magnetic leakage and enhances the transformer’s short-circuit withstand capability.

They support heavy-duty continuous production of various complex transformer low-voltage windings to meet the non-standard customization needs of different transformer manufacturers.
- Equipment Compatibility: 10kV/35kV epoxy resin cast dry-type transformers, amorphous alloy distribution transformers, heavy-duty rectifier/electric furnace transformers, and wind power/photovoltaic new energy prefabricated substations.
- Foil Compatibility: 0.3mm – 3.0mm copper foil, 0.5mm – 3.5mm aluminum foil. Compatible with DMD insulating paper, PET film, polyimide, and other interlayer insulation materials.
- Process Support: Customized single-layer, double-layer, and four-layer foil winding systems are available, perfectly solving the synchronous processing challenges of the low-voltage side of double-split transformers.
